Motel 6 Lehi, UT – Thanksgiving Point

Thanks again to the Motel 6 Lehi Utah property. This is the nicest Motel 6 I've seen, with three floors, an elevator, and room doors that open onto an interior hallway rather than the parking lot. Great place.

The room was clean, but the bathroom door had holes as if it had been punched, its back was coming off, and the bottom showed flood damage. The TV turned on but had no sound, and the internet kept cutting out. We could hear almost everyone walking down the hall. At check-in, the clerk seemed angry and annoyed, which made us hesitant to ask for anything. A sign in the elevator told people to stand with two in front and one in back, leaving us unsure about its stability. It made for a stressful, uncomfortable stay, and I'll choose somewhere else next time.

Transaction date: 01/23/2026. I paid $35.00 for a clean, safe, usable Queen room with the refrigerator and microwave advertised on Motel6.com. Instead, the stay involved serious problems with hygiene, safety, and upkeep. There were multiple cockroaches in the first room, and people who appeared to be active drug users were gathering on the property. In both rooms, the lights flickered violently before turning on, which could pose a seizure risk for people sensitive to flashing light. The doors were misaligned and needed a body slam to latch. A plumbing emergency happened late at night with no maintenance staff available, so we had to move rooms ourselves. Although I booked a Queen bed, I was given two double beds. The second room was a downgrade and had no refrigerator or microwave. Other maintenance problems included peeling siding, shower temperature labels put on backwards, and TV ports that didn't work. The front desk seemed indifferent and offered a 30% discount because of the roaches. That's not enough given the wrong bed type, missing amenities, and unsafe conditions. The room didn't meet the advertised description or basic habitability standards. I'm seeking a full refund because the property failed to provide a secure, sanitary place to stay.

The weekly rates are outrageous, especially for a long-term stay. Other customers told me they'd gotten discounts, but none were offered to me. The front desk clerks weren't much help and barely talked, and both the woman and the man made me feel like I was bothering them. The refrigerator freezer also didn't work, so my food wouldn't stay frozen.
