The room had a lot going for it: plenty of space, tasteful decor, good reading lights, a useful dresser and closet, and a beautiful bathroom. Breakfast was included, and the cookies and The NY Times were welcome touches. I wasn't keen on the sheets or towels, though, and the bed felt hard. Getting an envelope and door code instead of a person at a front desk feels impersonal, especially at this price. It gave the place a very expensive Air BnB feel. Our room was beside the exit, so it was noisy. Worse, at 8:00 pm in 2 degree weather, the keypad wouldn't let us back in because it had locked. We had to make an emergency call.

The staff were genuinely kind, and struck a nice balance between being available and giving us privacy. We enjoyed wine on the front porch and could walk to nearby shops and restaurants. 33 Main feels like a home away from home, with an especially lovely, relaxing setting. The inn is elegant but cozy, with inviting sitting areas and plush linens. And the cookies are a real treat, baked fresh daily and left in the kitchen. It’s a delight in the heart of Lenox, and a wonderful base for exploring the Berkshires. We can’t wait to come back.

Dog friendly, with breakfast included and a convenient spot for Tanglewood or the center of town. The room we had was exquisite, and entry was easy with a pad lock and key. An adorable boutique hotel with plenty of extras.

We stayed in the Sunnyholm suite, which was both beautiful and comfortable. The soaking tub made for a relaxing, spa-like break, and downtown Lenox was perfectly placed for exploring on foot. Even arriving after hours, check-in went smoothly. Breakfast was delicious each morning, and the chocolate chip cookies available anytime were a lovely treat. We had an amazing weekend at 33 Main and are already looking forward to returning.
