Bob was a friendly, attentive host, and our room was clean and comfortable. This isn't the usual B&B setup: breakfast is a light continental spread rather than a home-cooked meal. That worked fine for us since we don't usually eat much in the morning. Shops and restaurants in town are an easy walk away.

For breakfast, all they had was stale cereal, and I had to ask for cream and other things for tea and coffee because none had been put out. When they brought milk, it had gone bad. The room was cramped, small, and run down, with a bathroom that seemed to have been squeezed into an old closet. In February, it was freezing because they hadn't turned on the heat until I arrived. People were shrieking downstairs late into the night, then workers banging around in the garden woke me early. A prospective employer had booked this for my interview, and it was a really unpleasant stay. Worst place I've ever stayed.

Bob kindly carried my bags up and down the stairs when I visited with my son for a college trip. The room was elegant and beautiful, and all the little details of the stay were lovely. Breakfast was delicious, especially the scones. It's a great base for walking into town or visiting Bucknell. Don't pass it up if you're in the area.

It's an easy place to use as a base for Lewisburg and the campus, and I'd absolutely recommend The Tawsty Flower to friends and family. The Innkeepers were quick and hospitable when I asked for help with printing and ironing. Breakfast each morning was just right, with hot water always ready for tea. I especially liked having smooth jazz on while I ate the fresh baked goods. The B&B has comfort, charm, class, and convenience.

The location sits nicely between Bucknell and downtown Lewisburg, and there's a small gravel lot behind the building with room for a few cars. The rooms are spotless and tidy, though some are on the small side. Bathrooms look newly renovated, and the whole place is very well cared for. It's a classic small-town inn, with lovely, well-appointed rooms, friendly staff, and a tasty continental breakfast. I'd choose this charming B&B over the chain hotels on Route 15.
