Golden Oak Inn Lewiston

The Golden Oak is in a great location, but the manager creates a toxic atmosphere. Every day she sits around drinking beer and smoking weed with her “Special” group of characters, who then micro-manage the other tenants and seem to control the place. Don’t drive faster than 5 mph on the property or one of them will yell at you to slow down. It’s embarrassing when it happens to your guest, Uber driver, or Door Dasher. If you stay here, expect to be judged and watched by this group of drunks, who do nothing all day. They say “No Drama,” while creating more drama than anyone.

The manager’s little church of people sit around drinking all day and judging everyone who stays there. This place could be okay without that. As the saying goes, people who live in glass houses shouldn’t throw stones, but they seem to think their glass is tempered and they can throw them all day.

The rooms are spacious, affordable, and somewhat clean. The location would rate a four for me if the manager didn’t create such a toxic environment. She surrounds herself with a very obnoxious group of people, and it makes the place unpleasant to live in.

The manager is great, friendly, and works hard. Everyone treats you like family, and my kids enjoyed it. I’d recommend the place and would definitely come back.
