TownePlace Suites by Marriott Dallas Lewisville

After a plumbing disaster at home forced us out for over 30 days, we needed somewhere that could accommodate our two dogs and a mother in a wheelchair. We looked around Dallas Fort Worth and chose this hotel. I'm so glad we did. The rooms are clean, the staff are wonderful, breakfast is better than average, and the location worked perfectly for us. I recommend it as a great example of what a hotel should be.

The place is clean and the staff are courteous, and I'd say breakfast was good. It could use some updating, though, since the furniture is worn out. The stove wobbles, and there's no light under the microwave.

We were staying for five nights, but the room was still barely cooler the morning after our first night, so we booked another hotel and checked out. We couldn't put up with it for the rest of the stay. The staff were kind and helpful, and the room was clean with a comfortable bed. The AC was the problem: the thermostat wouldn't go below 67°, and it barely moved any air. We arrived late after a 12-hour drive to a room that was as hot inside as it was outdoors. The front desk moved us to another room, which was slightly better, but even with the AC on the lowest temperature and fan at max, it wasn't much cooler the next morning. We tried opening the door to get some of the cooler hallway air in. The front desk lady was very kind and understanding, and said she'd refund the three nights we were canceling.

Clean, quiet, and a great location, close to the freeway, Target, shopping, and lots of food. The staff were great too. I was traveling for work and had a good stay. I'll stay here again.
