John made us delicious breakfasts both mornings and was an excellent host. We were really spoiled by his service. My friend and I stayed two nights in room #5, which was extremely comfortable, in a beautifully decorated and well-kept lodge. Downtown was about a 15-minute walk, with shops and restaurants along the way. We’d definitely recommend it to visitors to Lexington and the surrounding area.

John made us feel right at home, and he was kind and helpful. He also cooked a delicious omelet in the morning. My mom and I stayed for one night recently and loved it. I’d recommend this place to anyone visiting Lexington.

John is a lovely host who takes a real interest in his guests. He told us about Lexington and places to try for bars and restaurants. The rooms were clean and nice, and the award-winning omelet the next morning really did live up to its award.

We came to explore Natural Bridge and the surrounding area, then decided to spend the night in nearby Lexington, a charming little town. We were lucky to find Llewellyn Lodge. John’s hospitality was wonderful, from his stories and cheerful manner to the attentive service and delicious breakfast. The accommodations were quaint and comfortable, and the neighborhood had classic architecture, restaurants, and shops. It was one of our favorite experiences. We’ll absolutely come back, and would love to join John’s fly fishing outing.

After a comfortable night's sleep, there’s a hearty home-cooked breakfast, and breakfast is a nice chance to swap stories with the other guests about places to see and things to do. John knows the area well and is helpful with planning the day. He was born in Lexington, after all. The Lodge is lovely for a downtown visit. I enjoy walking along Woods Creek trail and then heading back into town for coffee.
