Comfort Inn & Suites Lexington South

The noise was the biggest problem. We were on the second floor and heard footsteps and banging from upstairs all night through the ridiculously thin walls. If you want quiet, you’d probably need to be on the third, top floor. Our room was spacious, but there wasn’t enough closet or drawer space for clothes, especially for a four-night stay. The staff were very friendly. Room service was disappointing, too: the maid brought clean towels but didn’t make the bed. Unfortunately, I wouldn’t stay here again.

The breakfast was good, with plenty of coffee. My room was clean, updated, and comfortable, and the bathroom was clean too. I was on the first floor and could hear people above me, who weren’t the quietest. Next time I’ll definitely ask for an upper floor.

There was a puddle that kept appearing in the middle of room 307 in the morning and stayed there all day. I think it may have been related to showers and water use in nearby rooms. The walls are paper thin, too. I can hear my neighbor snoring as I write this. Side entrances don’t work, so you have to use the main entrance each time. I found mold in the room, and it wasn’t fully cleaned. Nobody offered to move me. They tried cleaning by lightening the dark spots, but while I was out they threw away some of my belongings, then emptied the trash and got rid of the rest. I was told the manager would call about the mold, but during my two-day stay I heard nothing. From other reviews, I expect the same generic response from the “General Manager” that everyone else gets. The on-site customer service needed to resolve this seemed too much to ask. GM, you have my number if you want to see this review updated. The clerk who checked me in was genuinely friendly and seemed to care about my issues. The night clerk was less helpful, and the manager not at all. Breakfast was missing basics like boiled eggs or fruit. The mold also led to some cleaning effort, but it didn’t fix the problem.

The staff made the place feel like home, and I’m really glad I stayed. Being somewhere this nice makes me want to travel more!
