Days Inn & Suites Lexington

We found this place in the middle of the night at the last minute, and the woman at the desk was incredibly polite and friendly. I wish I’d gotten her name. We were given a newer room. The bathroom had a little damage and wasn’t perfectly clean, but it wasn’t bad enough to bother us. The rest of the room looked lovely and was very tidy, and we were comfortable the whole stay. Hope we can come back sometime.

The new management is putting in a lot of effort to look after guests. Ms Dora at the desk knows her stuff, provides thorough customer service, and finds solutions quickly. The staff were helpful, the conveniences were there, and the amenities suited our needs. There’s a lovely pool in the courtyard, with the hotel laid out around all four sides of the view, so it should be great during pool season. Renovations are underway across the property, with a full makeover, new interiors, furniture, and bathroom fixtures. It looks like a whole new facility, and I hope to stay in one of those rooms once it’s finished.

I’ve been here for a while, and the staff have made it my favorite hotel by far. They’re so friendly and go out of their way to make my stay enjoyable. Even during the renovation, they keep the rooms and the rest of the hotel clean. I also liked the healthier breakfast options they offered, like apples, and hope they’ll have more kinds of apples and other fruit soon. I’ve stayed at a lot of hotels and have been recommending this one to friends and family.

We chose it because it was affordable and close to the highway, but we didn’t have a good stay. The beds were rock hard, the walls were thin enough to hear other guests, and the TV didn’t work. Breakfast was just a brown paper bag with a bottle of water and a snack bar. They’re remodeling, and they wouldn’t let us get one bed for a couple, so we had to take two full beds.
