The breakfasts were delicious, and I loved getting warm homemade cookies each evening. Our room was spotless and comfortable, with care put into all the little details. The Brierly is beautiful, from the inn itself to the breathtaking view, and innkeeper Michelle was so friendly. This was our first stay, but it definitely won't be our last.
I really didn't want to leave when our stay was over. The service was friendly and accommodating, and the rooms were extremely clean with plenty of attention to detail. The grounds are lovely, with deer out browsing early in the morning. It's close to downtown, yet somehow feels tucked away from everything.
A nice break from a busy work week. I stayed in the Blue Ridge Cottage, with its fireplace, huge shower and heated bathroom tiles that were great in the cold weather. The rooms feel modern but still cozy. Michelle and Derick were wonderful innkeepers, warm and attentive, and made a nice breakfast each morning. I already miss the place and would love to return.
During our Thanksgiving stay, we loved sitting out to watch the sunsets and stars, and even spotted a few cardinals. The views were spectacular, the room was top quality, and breakfast was amazing every morning. Michele and Derick were the sweetest hosts and looked after us so well. We'd be happy for others to enjoy the same experience, even though part of me wants to keep this place a secret.
We stayed twice within two weeks and will be back. The breakfasts were the best, and the cookies were a treat. Michele, Derick and Sarah were so gracious. Everything was peaceful and quiet, with gorgeous views, comfy beds, luggage racks and thoughtful touches. There are lovely spots to sit, including a porch with rocking chairs and a swing. Downtown Lexington is about ten minutes away, with quaint shops and good restaurants. A special inn.
