Days Inn By Wyndham Lexington

Zac, the manager, and Jeremiah at the front desk made us feel welcome as soon as we arrived for our three-night stay at Days Inn Lexington. By the second morning, they remembered how we take our coffee, which was a thoughtful little touch. The room was very clean, and the bed was comfortable enough to unwind in after a day out. Getting around from the location was easy, but it was still quiet and felt like a break from things. We’d happily come back.

The location was easy to reach from the highway, but I didn’t feel very safe there. We initially had a room at the back and asked to change; parking there felt unsafe. We stayed four nights for a festival and didn’t try breakfast. They’re working on the rooms, which are spacious, but there’s nowhere to relax besides the bed, no sofa or comfortable chair, and no table. The laminate floors were so dirty they left my feet filthy. The refrigerator smelled and didn’t work, though they quickly bought a new one, which was great. I’ll stay somewhere else next year.

I’ve stayed here off and on for around two years and have watched the place steadily improve. The dumpster and bits of trash around the lot seem connected to the renovation, since they’re actively upgrading the property. My room matched the online pictures, which meant no surprises, and I felt safe. The door locks are solid and there are cameras in all the common areas. I enjoyed my stay, thought the price was fair for what you get, and can see they’re working to make the place better. Curious to see how it keeps improving.

We got locked out of our room twice because staff didn't have our reservation right. The extra lock on the door didn't work, so I never felt safe. The room walls were stained and dirty, and the bathroom was gross. The pool was out of order, which wasn't mentioned on the website, and one of my main reasons for booking was to use it. There were missing light bulbs, and we found bugs in the ice from the machine. Worst hotel experience I've had. I won't stay here again.
