The place looked decent, but the room had a smell that wouldn’t go away. The man at the front desk wasn’t friendly. I asked twice what it would cost and he ignored me before finally answering. I asked if he could put me in a room near the front since I was alone, but he didn’t respond and put me in a room at the back instead. It was fairly clean, but that smell lingered. There was also an adjoining door with only a handle lock, which didn’t feel safe.

It may look renovated and have good reviews, but the room smelled like Marijuana and you could clearly hear whoever was next door. It didn’t feel clean, and there were crickets in the room with us. They hadn’t come in through the door, either. The area looked really sketchy, and I felt unsafe and grossed out. Never again.

The owners were the best part for me. They were genuinely kind, helpful, and ready with a smile or a local recommendation. You can tell they care a lot about the business, and they made the place feel welcoming. The rooms were spotless, comfortable, and surprisingly spacious. Beds were very comfy, linens fresh, everything well maintained, and the complimentary coffee and little amenities were nice touches. I was impressed from the moment I arrived at the Roadway Inn in Mineola. If you want a clean, comfortable, friendly place in Mineola, book the Roadway Inn. Whether you’re passing through or staying a few days, it feels like home.

Whenever we travel east, we stop in Mineola,Tx and stay at the Roadway Inn. It’s been updated and the prices are great. You can bring your fur babies along, too. The new owners haven’t been there long, so updates take time. Please be patient with them. Just ask if you need something, and they’ll do their best to get it for your stay at the Roadway Inn.
