Rodeway Inn Liberal

The parking area had lots of outdoor lights, and we felt safe and comfortable. The heater worked well, and the room was clean and organized. Check-in was quick and easy. Hot and cold were reversed from the usual setup, so it might seem like the hot water isn’t working at first, but the sides may just be swapped.

The room was clean, with new comforters on the bed, and the bathroom was good. The shower had nice water pressure. The staff were professional and provided good service. I think it’s run by a husband and wife, and they seemed like good people. I was tired and forgot to ask for toiletries, so it’d be helpful if they offered things like a razor, shaving cream, or toothbrush. If you see a guy who hasn’t shaved in a few days, ask if he needs a razor or shaving cream, lol. Thanks to the Liberals of Liberal Kansas ; )

We tried four different rooms, and every single one smelled strongly of cat pee. The owners were confrontational and refused to make it right, saying that because we’d walked into a room, they had to clean it and charge us. There was no warm or hot water in the shower or sink, and bugs came out of the light fixtures when we turned the lights off. They failed in every way. I absolutely would give zero stars if I could. I’d warn anyone to stay away and choose any other hotel.

The rooms were wonderfully clean, even inside the lampshades. There’s also a large bathtub/shower, and the heater and A/C worked great. We’ll definitely stay again.
