AC Hotel Cincinnati at Liberty Center

The staff are consistently courteous and great, and the rooms are clean. Some have balconies, while others offer great views. The bartenders might be the best in Marriott history.

A quiet, comfortable place to rest and recharge when I'm working around Cincinnati. My room was well furnished and had a beautiful bathroom, and there are plenty of different restaurants within walking distance.

We stayed nine nights to be near our church for Holy Week and Easter, and while I looked for a job ahead of a possible move. After a 1200 mile drive, the location made it easy to get around on foot. There were places to eat and an arcade nearby, where I got to enjoy air hockey again and play Halo and Jurassic Park. The front desk staff were friendly, accommodating, and ready to help with anything. I really liked that the rooms had no carpet. There wasn't a dresser, but a long bench along one wall gave us a spot for suitcases and made packing up after nine days easier than checking through drawers. There was also a safe in the room. Breakfast wasn't included in our rate according to the website, but complimentary coffee and croissants were available. We were fasting for Lent, so that worked perfectly; the full buffet cost extra. Parking could be a hassle. The hotel's spaces are on the top floor of a free public parking garage, with the entrance at ground level. Since it's close to shops and restaurants, the garage often filled in the afternoon and evening, leaving hotel guests with a long walk back. Housekeeping was uneven. Some attendants did a great job, but one knocked despite the privacy sign on our door. She could say "housekeeping" in English but couldn't understand me or explain anything else. Another attendant came in the afternoon after our room had been missed that morning. She was still working when we returned from eating, which was fine, but her cleaning cart was in the hallway with tejano type music playing loudly. She didn't turn it down even though we were back in the room. Her English was limited too, though she smiled a lot. There was no microwave in the room. It wasn't a major issue, but I missed having one for the microwavable heating pad I bring to ease my aches and pains as an older traveler. I'd still recommend the hotel.

The breakfast alone had so many choices, with fresh croissants and fancy, expensive cheeses, and the rooms were clean with a comfy bed. We felt like rich people staying there. We've never had a better hotel experience, and it was worth every penny.
