Being close to town was the one real plus, but the price felt like poor value. The hotel is extremely dated and needs a complete overhaul. Our room was gross, with mold in the shower corners, and the red awning outside was stained black. I'm honestly perplexed that this place is still open.

The building and outside decor are dated, but the rooms are comfortable enough to make this a hidden gem. The staff were really helpful, and breakfast was better than what I get at most hotels. Best bed I've ever slept in!

The rooms were very clean, breakfast was delicious, and the coffee was strong and great. I also slept really well in a very comfortable bed, so I'll keep this hotel on my short list for work trips back here. I wasn't sure what to expect, but a clerk at the gas station down the street recommended the Ramada, saying she sometimes stayed there with her daughter because her daughter likes hotels. At check-in I asked the hotel clerk about restaurants, and she suggested the Wicked googly. I recommend it now too. This little town in the middle of seemingly nowhere is a fun, wonderfully diverse nook in a whole lot of red. People were kind, and I met some lovely folks. Across from the Wicked googly there's also a dive bar with a real mounted animal museum. I guess the original owner was an avid safariest, and all his mounted animals are there. Highly recommend it.

We arrived after 7pm to find the hotel sold out for the night, and the lobby was a pleasant surprise. It's an older place with great ambiance, though anyone wanting a newer look should stay somewhere else. The hallways and room were very clean. The bathroom layout was a little odd but worked well, and breakfast was okay. It wasn't the best, but at least it offered more than just a waffle iron and cold cereal. The earlier reviews seem way off to me. If we need to stay in the area again, we'd gladly return.

The town is a great little place, and everyone was so friendly, well worth visiting. The hotel feels a bit tired, but the rooms were clean and a good size, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. Reception staff were friendly too.
