Motel 6 Lincoln, IL

The front desk worker's friendly personality made the day start and end pleasantly. The room was adequate, but it wasn't very clean. There seemed to be cigarette burns in the sheet, the hotel smelled smoky, and the laminate wood floors weren't installed properly, leaving seams between the boards. I'd wear socks or slippers, since the rooms aren't especially clean. After taxes and fees it was only $58 for the night, which is a really low price. Of the Motel Sixes I've stayed in, this was one of the less nice ones. There were other hotels in the same price range along the road, so next time I'd probably try another one to see if it was a bit cleaner and nicer. I don't think they had breakfast or coffee here.

The room had a terrible smell, and the towels seemed worn out and not very clean. The laundry was two rooms away and noisy, and sounds from the neighboring rooms were loud too. I've stayed at many Motel6 locations, and this wasn't my best experience.

We decided to book another hotel because the place left us feeling unsafe. The rooms had been remodeled and seemed clean at first, but the quality of things wasn't good. On the second floor, there was a smell of weed and chemicals being used to cover it up. We were just looking for a place to rest, but on our way to an event we thought about all the red flags: awful parking lots and lobby, torn curtains on the windows, a double pain glass window between guests and the receptionist, and a few other nit picky things. We went back to explain the problems, but all they said was sorry and offered nothing back. At our new hotel, the desk lady said she was surprised the state allowed this place to open, because it used to be a crack house. That made sense after we read another review mentioning a lot of crime activity. This place should be shut down or have new management. Would not recommend.

I didn't stay there. I delivered a DoorDash order, and the visit was awful. The lobby smelled strongly of dog urine, there was a hole in its ceiling, and the stairwell light kept flickering. The building looked run down and pretty ghetto. I'd never consider staying there.
