Beach Cottage Inn

The large deck on our Lower Deck apartment faced the beach, with a table and chairs where we could watch the ferry come and go. The apartment felt quaint and added to the coastal stay. It was very clean and had a washer and dryer. The whole place was relaxing, and Dorothee and her husband were friendly innkeepers who answered our questions. I’d accidentally booked the Crow's Nest, whose steep loft stairs wouldn’t have worked well for us. Dorothee kindly helped move us into another available space. We stayed five days and would choose to stay here again if we return.

What a beautiful spot on the Lincolnville Coastline, with a fantastic view. Everything was amazingly clean and equipped with what we needed, right down to scotch tape, which I found this morning. We stayed three days in early September for a family reunion in Belfast, then as a stopover before sailing on The Schooner Heritage out of Rockland later today. Dorothee, you were a wonderful host. Thanks for your kindness and hospitality. We’ll be back!

The renovated old home has lovely water views, spacious suites, and pine board floors I really liked. Dot’s market is a short walk away for coffee and breakfast sandwiches to go. Dorothee, the owner, was friendly and helpful, with good suggestions for things to do on our last-minute trip. When my credit card gave us trouble during online booking, she said not to worry and that we’d sort it out when we arrived. I loved the Beach Cottage Inn and hope to return someday.

Our room had a lovely ocean view and sunrise, and the place was clean with everything we needed. There was a problem with the room we’d booked, so Dorothy moved us to a larger one. We’d gladly stay again and recommend it to friends and family.
