Bedford Inn

We booked this place for a wedding and found the room filthy. There were bed bugs, urine on the mattress and blankets, holes burned into the blankets, blood, food and drink spills, grimy mirrors, filthy air vents, and dead bugs in the light fixtures. We hadn’t stayed and couldn’t sleep in that bed, so we politely asked to leave and call it even. They refused. Hotels.com wouldn’t back the service either, saying they couldn’t do anything if the owner didn’t want to refund us. We lost $200 on a room we couldn’t use, then paid another $200 elsewhere for a place to sleep. Hotels.com is just as responsible as the businesses it sponsors.

The room was decent overall, with a nice jacuzzi tub, but the TV quit after about 15 minutes and the fireplace never worked. Outside, the hotel looked awful enough to make me uneasy about going out at night. At $166 a night, it wasn’t worth it.

The suite updates really made a difference. Staff told me they’d recently upgraded all of them, and the rooms looked fresh, modern, and cozy compared with the older photos I saw in past reviews. I’m glad I got to experience the updated place. I spent 4 days at Bedford Inn and tried 4 different suites. Every one was clean and comfortable, and the staff were friendly and professional. I’ve stayed in plenty of motels, but this was one of my best vacation stays. The affordable jacuzzi and hot tub options added to the visit, and I enjoyed talking with the staff. I’d recommend visiting Bedford Inn at least once. Adding some pictures from my stays.

Rooms are roomy and clean, the staff are really friendly, and the water pressure is great. It’s in a perfect spot on the Ohio Michigan Line. I’d definitely book Bedford Inn again!
