Embassy Suites by Hilton Baltimore at BWI Airport

I returned from a flight on January 28, 2026, after leaving my car at Embassy Suites for 6-7 days. I had parked there regularly since October 2025 and thought it was safe. Instead, all four tires had been taken, a passenger window was smashed, and my mail and belongings were scattered around the lot. Police took a report and said this happens often in the area. The cameras didn't catch anything, and despite signs advertising 24-hour surveillance, nobody was actually watching the lot. The manager showed little sympathy at first. The only offer was a complimentary stay during my work week, which didn't help with my out-of-pocket costs. The hotel's insurance company contacted me but hasn't followed up about reimbursement. The advertised security is misleading, and my car wasn't safe there. If you value your vehicle, don't park here. The manager initially seemed unsympathetic. I was offered only a complimentary stay during my work week, which did nothing for my expenses. The hotel's insurer got in touch but never followed up about reimbursement. Don't park here if you value your vehicle. The security claims are misleading.

The standard Embassy Suites breakfast was the one real highlight. The rooms were average at best, clean on arrival, but I got no housekeeping at all during the week. The TVs are small, there's nowhere to charge a phone, and one of the three elevators stayed out of service the entire week. Parking now costs extra through a separate app that only works by phone, and the hotel can't add the charge to a reservation, which is a hassle for business travelers. The snack shop is also run separately and requires a separate payment. Shops and restaurants are across the highway bridge, so walking there isn't practical.

The only things I can praise are the delicious food at the Bistro restaurant and the wonderful bartender. They must be operated independently. The rest of the stay was awful, and I'll never come back. The pool, jacuzzi, and elevators were all out of order at some point. Check-in told me nothing, the staff member didn't make eye contact, and with my cane and difficulty walking she could have noticed and put me closer to the elevator. Instead, my room was the farthest away. The walk to the jacuzzi ended with it looking like a crime scene, wrapped in caution tape. When I left, I found a card on my car saying I hadn't registered it and needed to pay for parking to avoid trouble. Nobody mentioned that at check-in, and they charge a $5 service fee for the privilege of parking your own car in their lot. In my opinion, new owners are needed to explain how things got this bad. No more booking apps for me. Call the hotel directly, check the amenities you need, and book there.

The bar and restaurant food was excellent. I ordered the hot honey chicken sandwich. The location also worked well for where I needed to be the next morning, and I liked being able to shut the bedroom door. The rooms were just okay, with subpar toilets, and the bathroom hot water pulsed hard when turned about a third of the way on. From an upper balcony or the elevator, the view was great, though the elevator stopped at floors more abruptly than it needed to. One really annoying detail: the lot was a snow pit, but guests still had to register and pay $15.00 per night for self-parking.
