The room thermostat only let me lower the temperature to 66°, and the fan wouldn’t run continuously. There also seemed to be a motion sensor on the air conditioner, so if you sleep hot, expect you may wake up sweating in the night. The first-floor rooms by the lobby carry a lot of noise, too. Parking is $10 in a large open lot with no visible security, which feels excessive. As a Platinum Elite member, I’m used to consistent service and flexibility with late checkout. I asked for it when I checked in, but at 11:00 am on checkout day someone knocked and told me I had to call that morning to confirm. No one had mentioned that, and it’s not what I’ve experienced at other properties. I was then approved until 1:30 PM, only to get a noon call asking why I hadn’t left. The communication was confusing and unnecessary. They didn’t offer a welcome amenity and automatically gave me 500 points instead. That wasn’t a major issue, but it didn’t match the Platinum recognition I usually receive. The stay wasn’t terrible, though the service and communication fell short of the consistency I expect. I have the employees’ names and would be glad to discuss it with management.

My room was kept clean while I was out, and the stay was comfortable. Sam at the front desk was especially kind and supportive, making both check-in and checkout easy and stress-free. I had a great time at the Holiday Inn Express and would gladly return.

We’ve stayed at the Holiday Inn Express & Suites Baltimore BWI Airport North several times, and Al at the front desk is a big reason we’ll keep returning. He gets guests checked in efficiently while making them feel genuinely welcome. Even as we waited in line, he kept things light with his humor and made sure everyone felt acknowledged. Travel days can be exhausting, but Al’s warmth made us feel at home as soon as we walked in. He’s a real asset to the property and always starts our trips on a positive note.

We rely on this Holiday Inn Express for our sleep, park, and fly getaways. The rooms are always ready and clean, and the front desk staff are helpful and courteous. Al Fahad Kemal, the Guest Service Manager, has consistently helped us with check-ins, questions, and the little things we need. He’s a jewel.
