Spark By Hilton Exton

The noise made me question whether I'd return. I started on the fourth floor, where someone was playing very loud music. Demaja at the front desk was kind and moved me to another room. It was quieter until early morning, when traffic from the road and occasional stomping in the hall started up. I'd expect better from a Hilton brand, and wish the rooms were soundproof like the Hampton. I'd rather pay more to stay there. My security deposit also hadn't gone back to my card after checkout, unlike at other Hilton brands. The deposit has since been returned, so I might give this place another chance, but I'm not sure yet. Shout out to Demaja.

The toilet in our first room wouldn't flush, but the desk moved us to another one right away, with no hassle. Our room was clean, we were comfortable, and the front desk staff were very friendly. The location was convenient for the area. Breakfast should run longer: we went down when staff were already cleaning up. One staff member plugged the toaster back in and got us some juice, which was very nice. We'd stay again.

The elevator situation could be better: there's just one old mechanical elevator, and sometimes it took a long time to arrive. My room was also skipped once or twice, so the trash wasn't emptied. I heard some dogs barking, and I'm not sure allowing dogs is a good idea. Still, it was a convenient hotel with excellent desk staff. The AC worked well, there was plenty of hot water, and the bed was comfortable. The breakfast bar was great and always clean. Overall, it was a good hotel.

There are lots of places for travelers to choose from in Exton, all within half a mile, and after reading reviews about cleanliness and service I picked Spark. I arrived without a reservation and the woman at the front desk greeted me pleasantly and had a room ready within 10 minutes. The lobby, halls, room, and bathroom smelled fresh and clean, and everything was set up for a good night's sleep on a very comfortable mattress. It was only a quick overnight, so I hadn't packed shampoo or conditioner. Their products worked perfectly. Breakfast had a fair number of options: oatmeal, eggs, bagels, and several kinds of cereal. I'd be happy to stay here again.
