Surf House

The location was great, and we enjoyed our stay enough to plan another visit. Our suite was very nice, though the floors stayed sandy and housekeeping didn’t sweep during our stay. A broom in the suite would help. Getting in and out was also a struggle because there was a step at the entrance and someone in our group uses a wheelchair. We’d booked a first-floor room for that reason, and the arrangement had been confirmed by email. At check-in we were told our room was on the second floor, which wasn’t workable. The owner apologized and said no first-floor rooms were available. After speaking with her husband, she offered either a free upgrade to a suite or a refund. Since we’d driven four hours and didn’t know if we could find another room, we accepted the suite and made it work.

We were there Aug 25-28. The room was clean and a nice size, and the bed was comfortable. It was quiet, with a lovely setting, a great pool, and very friendly staff. For the price, I’d recommend it. One extra note, Farr’s Famous Chicken is across the street and starts cooking around 6AM. It smells so good.

Our family of five, with kids aged 16, 11 and 9, had such a relaxing vacation here. We stayed in a suite with two bedrooms, three bathrooms, and a comfortable sofa bed in the living room. The kitchen was fully equipped for cooking all week, and the room was spotless and nicely decorated. The beds were extremely comfortable, and having a sleep noise machine in each bedroom was priceless so close to the beach. The beach is about a two-minute walk away. The heated pool was warm and meticulously kept; our girls spent hours swimming while we relaxed on the loungers. We also appreciated that the hotel is non-smoking. Alex and Stephanie, who run the hotel, were especially helpful. Every question, no matter how small or what time of day, got a smile and a useful answer. Cleanliness matters a lot to me, and this place exceeded my expectations. I’d absolutely recommend it for a Hampton Beach visit.

I found this place through TikTok, and I’m glad I did. I wish it were advertised more widely. I’ll be back many times and recommend it to people I know. If you’re visiting Hampton Beach, Surf House Motel is a real standout. I’d been unsure about staying in Hampton Beach because so many places are older motel-style accommodations with only two-star ratings. Surf House changed my mind. It’s been beautifully renovated, with a fresh, modern feel and thoughtful decor that still makes the rooms cozy. The warm pool was lovely for relaxing, and the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. When I called directly, they offered me a discounted rate and helped me get a full refund from Hotels.com because there were no rooms available online. That kind of service is rare. The room was spotless, including the floors. I’m fussy about clean floors, and hotel rooms usually leave my socks dirty, but that didn’t happen here.
