The rooms were comfortable, clean, and had everything our group needed, and breakfast stayed stocked even on a busy Friday morning. Check-in was quick, which we really appreciated after arriving late, and the staff welcomed me kindly with the paperwork already ready. We got great value for the price. I plan to stay here again on our next trip through.

I stayed four nights, and the front desk staff were always kind, though I often found nobody at the desk. One person let my friends and me use the breakfast area as a meeting room to play cards. The hotel covers the basics: clean rooms, no bugs or mice, low noise, hot water, cold AC, and basic amenities. The dryer was broken. There were a few small things like paint spots, a loose light, and a bathroom door that wouldn't quite close, but they didn't bother me. It's a fair price if you're not picky. The bed was fine, and the air conditioner worked well. If all you need is an inexpensive place to sleep for a few hours, it's the cheapest option around here. Housekeeping was the one thing that made my stay difficult. I work nights from home and usually sleep from 4 a.m. to noon. I can make my own bed, don't need fresh towels every day, and my trash never filled up, so I didn't want service. I left the do not disturb sign out every night, yet every morning housekeeping knocked and then tried to enter. The manual lock stopped them, thankfully. Once, they left the door open about three inches. Another time someone called my room at 10 a.m., before checkout, to ask whether I wanted housekeeping. They even knocked before checkout on my last day. I tried explaining this at the rarely staffed front desk. I was told either that housekeeping wouldn't come in or that it was a housekeeping issue, but I still couldn't get a simple no service request honored. Someone said the front desk person removes the signs at 4 a.m., slides them under the doors, and makes a note for housekeeping. That system clearly isn't working. Leaving the signs up so housekeeping can read them would be easy. I also offered to let the front desk check the room if they needed to make sure it was safe, but they declined. I worked in hotel reservations and at a front desk for two years, and this shouldn't be complicated. If they'd simply left me alone, I'd have given five stars. If you like daily housekeeping or are staying just one night, you'll probably be fine.

Breakfast felt like an afterthought, and the experience left me thinking guest satisfaction isn't a priority here. I was so disappointed that I'd give less than one star if I could. I found a spider in the bathroom, which made me question the cleanliness. The outdated air conditioner struggled, so the room wasn't comfortable. After sleeping in the bed, I developed skin rashes, which raised serious concerns for me about the bedding. It was unsettling and unacceptable. Other reviews seem to show I'm not the only one disappointed with breakfast.

The service has been great, and changing my stay hasn't been a problem. Everything you need is next door. I'm spending my last night here now, and I can recommend the hotel to anyone in the area. For the money, it feels like good value, maybe even underrated. You can't go wrong.

My grandchildren couldn't take a bath because the faucet had been soldered in a way that kept the tub from filling. The shower was also unsafe: the broken rod wouldn't hold the curtain closed, so water ran all over the bathroom floor and made it slippery to step out. There were no grab bars or non-slip mat in the tub, and I was too worried my pregnant daughter might get hurt to let her shower. On top of that, the bedding had stains, the bathroom paint was peeling, and the floor was cracked. So many problems in one room. It didn't feel clean, safe, or properly maintained. I was very disappointed with our weekend stay at the Quality Inn in Litchfield.
