Holiday Inn Express & Suites Denver SW-Littleton by IHG

Easy access to the mountains, just off the highway, and Lariat Lodge restaurant right next door has great food and service. The stay was clean, comfortable, and relaxing. Edith at the front desk was super friendly and handled my walk-in reservation quickly. Dina the GM made sure the staff were giving amazing service. We'll be back!

The area had a sulfur smell, the pool never had towels, and the breakfast was pretty underwhelming. The sausages were almost rubbery, the waffle machine wasn't set up, and one morning there was no milk. The desk staff didn't know how to get breakfast going, so if you needed to eat and leave, muffins or bagels were all you could get. Also, the beds called queens weren't queen beds.

There are plenty of stores, restaurants, a grocery store, and a gas station within walking distance, plus a brewery across the parking lot. The hotel and room were nice too. The only problem was a mix-up with our room: we'd been given a number, but a man opened the door when we tried to enter. He was understandably upset and said the same thing had happened to him the night before. The desk attendant seemed unsure what was going on, and it took a while to get another room. After that, everything was fine.

On our first stay, the Littleton location was a night-and-day improvement over the Golden one we'd had several bad experiences with. The staff were attentive, rooms clean, breakfast consistently stocked, and our room attendant was pleasant and cleaned daily. They seemed to care about making the visit enjoyable, and we planned to return here while avoiding Golden, which was an embarrassment for the company. We came back on December 23rd, and unfortunately it was a different experience. The room we were assigned at check-in smelled so bad it made us nauseous, so we moved. In the second room, the bathroom floor tiles shifted, and there was no bathroom light fixture, just a bare bulb. Staff did what they could to make up for the poor room conditions.
