Budget Inn

Coming back from our first day of hiking, we were surprised to find the room tidied and the beds made. There’s a sign to hang on the door if you’d rather skip that service, but we hadn’t noticed it. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the location works well for restaurants, Walmart, and attractions. We stayed two nights and had a great experience. Mary, the owner, puts so much of herself into this place, and her bright, bubbly personality makes it feel special. If you stay, take a moment to chat with her. It might brighten your day.

I’ve never stayed at a motel quite like this one. Mary made us feel welcome and was very accommodating, and both the room and the service were wonderful. It was clean, comfortable, and a very good rate. I’d recommend staying here if you’re in the area. Thanks, Mary, for a memorable stay.

The huge tub was just what I needed after hiking all day. A long, hot soak felt heavenly, and the bed was incredibly comfortable with pillows that actually supported my head. There’s laundry and ice, too. We’d originally planned to camp or sleep in the back of our Jeep, but on Memorial Day weekend I suddenly wanted a shower and didn’t expect to find a good room. I try to support small, privately owned places when I can, and this one was perfect. The owner and staff were so kind and helpful the whole time. If we come back to Ohio, I’m staying here again, no question.

Mary remembered us from our visit last year for the caves at Hocking Hills. She knows the area well and can point you to good places to eat. The property was quiet and tidy, and our room was very clean, with comfortable beds and plenty of hot water. Mary, the owner, you’re the best. If you’re heading to Hocking Hills, please say hello to Mary for John and Sue!
