Hampton Inn London-North

Even with renovations going on, the staff did everything they could to make guests feel looked after. The front desk was working under difficult conditions, but the team was amazing. We arrived at Hampton North in London on a snowy evening and were given a newly renovated room with excellent beds and pillows. Breakfast was served in what seemed like a temporary space, but the food was hot and the milk cold. I appreciated the warmth from the staff despite the weather and construction. Kudos to them.

Breakfast had a good range of choices and everything was stocked, and the location was convenient. The hotel was really clean, with a comfortable, quiet room, and the staff were welcoming and friendly. I had a great stay at Hampton Inn London, KY, and would definitely return.

The man checking people in from a card table in the construction zone was genuinely nice and apologetic, but I would've never booked if I'd known the actual conditions. For Nov 7, 2025, the price was outrageously high for the poor value. There was no lobby or proper front desk, and no covered entrance. The only side entrance meant unloading in pouring rain, which soaked me and my luggage. After checking in, I found a letter saying new thermostats would be installed and contractors would need room access from 9 am to 7 PM, accompanied by an employee the whole time. Construction was intense. Call the property before booking, and if work is still underway, I'd recommend staying elsewhere. I wish I had.

The microwave made an unbelievably loud noise, and the internet was only 10 mbps. I sometimes couldn't even download articles on my iPad, and the slow connection may be why the TV struggled. ABC wasn't available and CBS barely worked, so don't stay here if you want SEC FOOTBALL. The front desk guy's response was, “yeah we have problems watch another channel!” At the Marriott across the street, all the channels worked fine. They're remodeling the entrance and offer no handicap doors, with no automatic opener or push button. Breakfast was awful, as was the room it was served in. As a gold member I was supposed to get late checkout, but they wouldn't give me past noon, even though it was a slow time and I couldn't imagine they were full. Despite all the problems, they wouldn't allow even a 3 pm checkout. I'm an ambassador member with Marriott and they let me check in early. I was planning a nine-week stay and to reach diamond with Hilton, but this makes me reconsider how they treat their best clients. There are plenty of places to choose from, and I'd go elsewhere.
