The staff here make you feel comfortable and at home. Benji was especially helpful, and he's the best. I've stayed at the Allegra, which is nice too, but I keep choosing Long beach hotel when I'm in Long Beach because people here show how much they care about each guest. The renovated bar and grill looks beautiful and the food is outstanding. Get the chicken wings at the bar, they'll leave you speechless. I also love the cute pop-up events that make this hotel feel different. I got to see a magic show during dinner on this stay. 10 out of 10, and I'll be back this summer!

I was there for an event, so I didn't see the rooms. The restaurant and bar were good, the bartender was friendly and had helpful drink suggestions, and the food was good too. Everything looked clean. I liked that there was a ramp for entering and leaving the building.

My room was tidy and smelled fresh. I misplaced my charger, and the front desk quickly found one I could borrow. Those small kind gestures are what make a stay memorable.

We switched rooms three times because dogs in nearby rooms kept barking. Why allow dogs in a hotel? The walls are so thin you can hear a normal conversation from the other side. The floors were sticky, and we were given two towels but no washcloths. Extra towels took a full 24 hours to arrive. There aren't any extra amenities to speak of. The shower's shampoo dispenser was empty and rusted, and the safety bar was barely attached. I won't stay here again.

We were moved to an upgraded room because the one we originally booked wasn't available. The window wouldn't close all the way in mid December, and so much light came through the door that it seemed like a light was on even with all the lights off. Not a great experience. I'd avoid this place unless you really need somewhere close by.
