I can’t recommend this place. I can’t tell you about the room because I never got inside, but the outside was kept up: the older motel looked freshly painted, the little garden beds beside the windows were neat, and the driveway and small parking lot looked freshly paved or top coated. The lobby was clean and looked well kept too. Maybe the rooms are as well, but I can’t speak from experience. I’d paid online, completed the transaction, and had a confirmation number and virtual receipt. When I arrived, the clerk refused the confirmation and wanted a physical receipt, payment at the window, or my credit card statement. He walked away to a back living area and watched TV while I was talking to a customer service rep from a partner travel website. It was after 10 pm, I was exhausted from driving, and I badly wanted a hot shower. The rep called the clerk, but got nowhere. I could hear him telling her the same thing through the screened gate between the lobby and living area. She then wanted a screenshot of my card statement too. I refused. I’d never heard of having to prove a card purchase that way, and my receipt was proof to me. She said there was nothing else she could do. By then it was nearly 11 pm on a Saturday night in Long Beach, CA. The motel only takes payment at the desk, but that wasn’t stated on the website where I found the room. The motel puts its rooms on those sites, so it’s their responsibility to make sure customers know the check-in policy before agreeing to a no-refund registration. I’d paid for a room but couldn’t bathe or sleep in it. I couldn’t find an affordable room that night, so after driving around looking for somewhere safe, I slept in my car in my church’s parking lot so I could go to services the next day, unbathed and in the same clothes I’d slept in.

They want $145 a night plus a $50 deposit, which is too much for this area. The little fridge didn’t work, and the AC in the room they tried to give me wasn’t working right either. The water doesn’t get as hot as it should, and the walls are dirty. I can see paying $90, but $145 with a $50 deposit is too much, especially when the room doesn’t even have anything in it for that price. It has a regular key for the door. I’d rather go to a five star place and pay that.

The bathroom walls and floors were dirty, the room was gross, the walls were filthy, the toilet paper was almost gone, and we found bugs on the bed. We have pictures to prove it. I booked the place for a friend and his family after an emergency at his home meant they needed somewhere to stay in Long Beach. I booked and paid for them through booking.com and priceline. When I called about cancelling, they told me to contact the manager, who was due in at 9:30 on Friday 3/7/25. He wouldn’t give me his name or speak with me because the registration was under my friend’s name. He yelled that he’d go check the complaints himself. My friend had me on speaker, and they don’t speak Englis. When the manager arrived, he immediately started yelling, especially after he realized they didn’t speak the language. He called them liars, took their key, and kicked them out to the parking lot. Ten minutes later, he came back from his office and said he’d reimburse only one night and told them to leave the property. We’d booked three nights, so he kicked them out and still charged us for the first night. I don’t even care about getting that refund now. I just want people to know about this racist manager.

The room smelled awful, like rotten wet wood and urine, and it wasn’t clean. The roof leaked too. There’s a popular 24-hour gas station right beside the place. Wish I’d read the reviews first.

The room was super clean, just like the pictures and even better in person. I’ve stayed at hotels that looked one way online and completely different when I got there, but this one delivered. The hot tub was the best I’ve been in so far, and my boyfriend and I had a really great time. The front desk clerks were friendly and polite too. I’d definitely recommend this hotel for a fun, romantic getaway with someone special.
