The leasing process left me feeling uneasy, though I never actually lived in the building, so this is only about applying and renting. Melvin at the front desk was consistently kind and helpful, and someone like him is a real asset if you decide to move forward. I toured about a week before my previous lease ended and was immediately interested. I confirmed the rent and lease length, explained I had only a few days before moving out and needed to act quickly, then toured the unit twice more. I submitted an application based on the terms we'd agreed on and said I was ready to sign right away. It took two days for them to respond. By then I had very little time left, and they told me the rent had gone up by around $700, almost 25%, and that they would only offer a 9-month lease instead of the 12-15 months we'd discussed. It seemed obvious they wanted renewal to fall in August rather than during the holidays. The timing and the changes after I applied felt fishy and put me in a difficult spot.

Nedra worked hard to find us the right furnished luxury apartment. She was efficient, dependable, attentive, and went above and beyond to have everything ready for our arrival. We can't say enough good things about her. The property is beautiful and in a nice area, with stores within walking distance. We couldn't find anything that needed attention, and aren't sure what to make of the negative reviews. 888 Hilgard will impress you, look no further!

I had a great experience at 888 Hilgard. The building, apartments, and neighborhood are all beautiful, and the rooftop patio has stunning views. Trader Joe’s and Target are easy to walk to. Definitely recommend.

We stayed at 888 Hilgard Ave in Westwood while selling our old home and waiting to move into a new one. We had a bid on a home, and having such a welcoming place in the meantime made the transition much less stressful. The apartment felt like home right away, and we'd happily recommend it as a temporary stay or a longer-term luxury rental. Nedra, the manager, welcomed us when we arrived and was warm and professional throughout. She was consistently available and made sure things were right for us. Her dedication showed in how she went out of her way to accommodate us, helping make the stay seamless and enjoyable. The apartments were spotless, comfortably and beautifully furnished, and clearly maintained with care. Thank you, Nedra, and the whole team at 888 Hilgard, for making our stay so positive.

I toured this short-term luxury rental near UCLA because my son will be attending UCLA this fall, and I'm considering it for him. The property is secure, beautifully maintained, and has high-end finishes and modern conveniences. Melvin, the General Manager, made the experience outstanding. He was welcoming, polite, and professional, and knew the property, its amenities, and the Westwood area well. He took time to answer all my questions, which gave me a clear picture of the place. With its luxury, convenient location, and top-tier management, I highly recommend contacting Melvin if you're considering a short-term rental.
