The room was clean, and for one night the stay was decent. But checking in at La Cienega Motel was frustrating after a long drive. The first staff member said I had to pay cash, even though I’d booked through Priceline and had a receipt showing a charge. I tried to reach Priceline customer service, but it was hard to get through, while the motel staff kept insisting the room hadn’t been paid for. When I finally spoke with a Priceline representative, they explained I was meant to pay the motel at check-in. That was confusing given the receipt I had.

The staff made check-in easy and were friendly and attentive. One particularly cute guy at the front desk was warm and helpful, gave me recommendations, and made sure I was enjoying my stay. The motel is also in a great spot, close to local restaurants and attractions, which made getting around convenient. I had a great stay and would recommend it. I’ll definitely return.

For around $100 a night, this is one of the cheapest hotels in the area, and not needing a card deposit at check-in is a nice bonus. The room was basic but clean, and I didn’t see any bugs. There was just a top sheet and a very thin bedspread, no blankets. Two issues bothered me: water was leaking from the bottom of the toilet onto the floor, which didn’t seem sanitary, and the A/C fan made a loud grinding noise that kept me from getting a good night’s sleep. I mentioned both to the attendant before leaving, but he didn’t seem to pay much attention. There isn’t much around and it’s not convenient to anything, though I’ve stayed in worse places that cost more.

The beds were super comfortable, and the front desk staff gave me a warm welcome. The hotel has a nice neighborhood feel and is close to Beverly Hills and West Hollywood. I’ve stayed at Beverly Hills hotels, and they’re not worth spending the extra money unless you plan to spend all your time at the hotel. I was very happy here and will definitely come back.

I paid $120 and checked in around 1:30 PM. When I got back to room 114 at 2 AM, there were cockroaches. The manager wouldn’t give me a different room or refund my money, so I left and found another hotel. Absolutely terrible experience. I don’t recommend this place to anyone.
