Knights Inn Downtown Los Angeles

The hotel was clean, and we checked for bugs without finding any. It’s close to a bakery and a very good Filipino restaurant, so getting breakfast or dinner was easy. I was there for four nights as a caregiver for someone who sometimes uses a wheelchair. There’s no elevator, only stairs, but the staff understood and offered us a room on the ground floor. George was especially kind, always greeting us with a smile and getting us what we needed. It wasn’t a luxury stay, but it was safe, clean, affordable, and accommodating. I’d recommend it to anyone looking for an affordable place in LA.

Dodger Stadium is close enough to walk to, and the location puts you near LA cultural spots and dining. For breakfast, K Bakery is right across the street, open 6:30 AM to 7 PM with fresh pastries and good coffee. Parks BBQ is just outside, and Thunderbolt inside the hotel has cocktails and an atmosphere that can hold its own against trendier bars. Knights Inn is a small, no-frills motel, but the rooms are clean, comfortable, and well cared for. Gated parking is free, a big plus in central LA. The staff genuinely care and offer service that feels comparable to a 5-star hotel. It’s an affordable, convenient stay with plenty of charm.

The interior is a little dated, but the rooms were great, clean, and the staff were really friendly. Thunderbolt next door is a fun little cocktail bar, and Crypto is only about a 10-minute drive away. I picked this place based on other reviews and found they were right. A little gem, and I’ll book again for my next LA trip.

We felt safe and slept comfortably, even though I brought an extra door lock for peace of mind. The gated parking garage was a major plus, and there’s a security door into the hallway with a mirror that lets you see behind you as you enter. The place is somewhat outdated and isn’t luxury, but the manager was great about checking our fridge, bringing extra towels, and answering questions. It worked perfectly for us, within 15 minutes of everywhere we wanted to go. There’s a bar and restaurant next door, plus liquor and convenience stores nearby. I’d choose to stay here again, especially for the sense of safety.
