Kins Hotel

The front desk staff were respectful and friendly throughout my stay. I may give Kins Hotel another try once it's fully up and running, since it's still fairly new and its restaurant and bar aren't open yet. I usually stay at Hotel Normandie when I visit Koreatown, and have done so for years. Kins Hotel caught my eye because it looked modern and new, so I booked it when bad weather delayed my flight. The $35 early check-in fee surprised me. At hotels like Hotel Normandie, Westin, Hyatt, or Hilton, I've never been charged extra when a room was available. For this price, I expected more flexibility. The water pressure was the weakest I've experienced in over 10+ years of travel, even though I was on the top, fourth floor. That alone makes me think twice about returning, and I hope they fix it. I was also surprised there were no streaming options like Netflix on the TVs, which I would expect from a newer hotel at this price. Compared with the service I consistently get at Hotel Normandie, Kins Hotel still has a long way to go. I'll give it one more try and update my review.

Everything felt new and clean in this newly built hotel. Our room and bathroom were spotless, and the service was great the whole time. It's in a convenient spot with plenty of restaurants nearby. The gym only had basic equipment, but that worked fine for me. I also appreciated the $45 valet parking, especially when a lot of hotels charge $65 or more. The lobby scent is lovely, though a little strong for anyone with a sensitive nose. We had an awesome stay. I'll definitely come back and recommend it to friends.

The room was spacious and comfortable, and Kevin helped with our requests by arranging an extra sofa and bedside light. We also had a small issue with the bathroom outlet during our week-long stay. Roy, the maintenance lead, fixed it right away and was courteous about it. The hotel’s location in LA Koreatown made it easy to reach shops, restaurants, and other parts of Los Angeles. We liked the pleasant signature scent at reception, too. James had arranged an accessible room before we arrived and gave us a complimentary upgrade to a king suite. He was kind, proactive, and efficient, and Winnie, Mia, and Ulysses were welcoming and professional as well. Aracelli kept our room spotless and nicely arranged each day. After long days out in the city, coming back to a fresh, cared-for room made a real difference. Kins Hotel exceeded our expectations, and we hope to try the restaurant when it opens.

We only stayed one night, but the bed was comfortable and everything felt fresh and clean. The hotel was quiet and cozy, with good insulation, and the lobby looked and smelled great. It has a more personal feel than a big chain. On Friday from 4 to 5 PM, they offered generous wine, and the owners were friendly and had lots of good recommendations. The location on 6th St in Koreatown was a real highlight, with most travel essentials within walking distance. Renovations clearly got a lot of thought, and valet parking was easy and accommodating at $45 a night. The AMEX partnership also earned me 5X points. I’m looking forward to another stay and seeing more of LA.
