Bevonshire Lodge Motel

I stayed during the changeover to the new name and renovation work was still going on. The place was easy to find, parking was plentiful and close by, and the rooms felt brand new and clean. The bed was comfortable, the shower was hot, service was standard, and check-in was quick. The location is excellent, with restaurants and coffee shops an easy walk away and the sunset/whiskey a go go area about 2 miles off. I'd recommend it and would like to come back to see how everything turned out.

The room had been renovated and was clean, but there were very few amenities. There was no hand soap or tissues. Parking was supposed to be included, but they told us it was full, so we left the car on the street. The air conditioner leaked water overnight and got our things wet. Overall, the room wasn't worth the price.

We had plenty of room and felt safe, and the room was kept clean throughout our stay. The staff were attentive and very accommodating. Since our flight was a few hours after checkout, they stored our bags while we went out for a while. There were lots of good places within walking distance.

Renovation work itself didn’t bother me, but the room smelled of cigarettes and the sheets were stained. I asked for fresh ones and the replacements still had a stain. The worst part came when we returned at night and found a cockroach. We slept with the lights on and moved our bags back into the car. When I raised it the next morning, the person I spoke to didn’t seem to care.
