The price kept changing. They tried to charge me $139 when the paperwork said $75, then agreed to $100 flat and said it had to be cash only. I suspect the guy put $75 in the register and pocketed $25, but that's what I think happened, not something I know for sure. The rooms were in the worst condition I've ever seen. The furniture was so old it belonged in a junkyard, and I've seen better left out on the street. The towels looked so old I was scared to use them, and it seemed like nothing had been updated in years. There were no shower shelves or toiletries. I wouldn't recommend this motel, even on a budget. You can get a better deal and service elsewhere.

The price went from $70 to $100, and then I was put in a terrible room with cracks and holes that opened onto the street outside. The walls were moldy, there was no fire alarm, and the window had no screen. This motel is awful, it feels like a slumlord property and should be shut down.

The power went out while a storm was raging, though it seemed like every outlet in the room, bathroom included, might be on one breaker. That doesn't seem right or legal. Other hotel lights appeared to still be on, so I asked them to reset the breaker. About an hour later, when I came back, it still hadn't been done. I had to pack and leave in the dark, which really wasn't cool. The location wasn't too bad, but I was already running late for work and trying to get out quickly. I threw my key through the window and left. I don't think I got my $20 back, since there was no one there at 7:00 in the morning to collect it, and I think I just forgot about it in the rush.

The location works well since everything is close by, and the area feels safe to me. I’m a regular, and the weekly rates are good. The queen rooms have comfortable beds. Some come with a fridge and some don’t, and there’s a microwave on site. The deposit is reasonable too.

The couple who run the place are helpful and don’t seem greedy like many motel owners around here. The neighborhood isn’t the best, but you can manage it unless you’re Beyoncé or a celebrity. I’ve stayed here several times, and it’s been clean every time, so I’m giving it five stars.
