Canoga Hotel at Warner Center

There were a few roaches and a small hole in the comforter. Keeping food in the fridge made things tolerable, but this wasn't a good stay. The bathroom didn't have anything specifically wrong with it, but it just kind of sucked.

For $193 for one night, the room was terrible. It smelled bad and was dirty, the AC barely worked, and it stayed hot all night. The blankets were more like thin sheets and smelled gross, though we didn't need them because of the heat. There was dirt all over the walls, broken fixtures with missing parts, long black hairs on the towels and bathroom floor, mold in the shower, and even a hole in the floor by the door. The area felt sketchy, with police activity all night. I was already annoyed before seeing the room. I called to compare prices with the hotel next door, which also had rooms available, and was quoted less here, though it was still crazy expensive. Less than ten minutes later at check-in, the price had somehow gone up by $13. They didn't give me a receipt or paperwork, so I had to ask, and the man checking us in seemed annoyed about it. We'll never stay here again.

I've lived in this neighborhood for 25 years and grew up here, but it has gone downhill quickly. This was the first time I felt unsafe. For what we paid, we got a dirty room with bugs and a broken mirror. Breakfast was served in the parking lot for some reason, and the bathtub wouldn't hold water. The staff were helpful, which is the only positive thing I can say.

The room at Motel 6 had cleanliness and maintenance problems that hadn't been addressed. When I tried to raise these issues, the staff stayed abrasive and unhelpful. From the moment I arrived, reception felt dismissive and unwelcoming. Their rude, unprofessional manner made me feel like an inconvenience instead of a guest. It left the whole stay soured, with customer service and hospitality clearly lacking.
