The staff were friendly and helpful every time, and Hotel Manager “Greg” made my stay amazing. The atmosphere is relaxed, the rooms are immaculate, and the bathrooms are really spacious. Parking was easy, and the front desk always had plenty of quarters to exchange when I needed to do laundry. They also accommodate pets, so my pooch could come with me. It's a wonderful place to stay awhile when you need some R&R. Thanks to everyone at The Extended Stay America South Location! A+

The desk staff were professional and friendly during the 4 1/2 weeks I stayed here for work in the LA area. Still, this place was only a small step above a Motel 6. Being able to fry eggs in the morning and having a fridge were about the only advantages. It might be fine for 3 to 4 days, but several weeks was too much. This wasn't an original Extended Stay America, and the rooms were about half the size of rooms in an 'original' Extended Stay. They have small kitchenettes, with either a full-size fridge or a heavy mini fridge, and the small stove burners made dinner difficult. There was no shelving by the bathroom sink, and I wasn't keen on keeping my toothbrush on the shelf above the toilet, so I made a rough shelf from a 6' cedar fence board. There's just a small shower, no bathtub. The standard beds were full size, with a queen as the best option. Mine was very soft, which I don't like, and the box springs squeaked with any movement. Maid service was unreliable. I was scheduled for Thursdays, but in 4 1/2 weeks they came once on a Thursday and twice on Wednesdays. They didn't empty the trash when they did come. I ended up emptying it myself, making my bed, and washing my sheets. I usually prefer maids to stay out of my room anyway, though most hotels insist they come in.

The staff were amazing, sweet, and eager to help, but the room itself had several problems. It was small, the lights flickered, and the floors were dirty. The sheets felt like they hadn't been changed. Bathroom supplies amounted to hand soap, and although they mention free grab-and-go breakfast, all I saw was a small coffee. You could also hear people stomping upstairs, downstairs, and in the halls.

For the 150 I paid for 2 nights, the room was clean and comfortable, which was what I expected for the price. The staff were friendly and helpful, and we had a good stay. The beds are a little small, and there were some sketchy people hanging around at night, though they never bothered us. I don't think this hotel deserves all the bad reviews it gets. A lot of those complaints seem to be picky people picking at every little thing.
