The staff were very friendly, but I found the owner rude and inconsiderate. He walked in while I was showering, stood there for a minute, then shut the door. That would make a woman uncomfortable, wouldn’t it? He also walked in on a female employee that same day and didn’t apologize. If you’re a woman, you can try your luck, but I wouldn’t recommend staying here. Anyone renting rooms to female guests needs to knock before entering, whether they own the house or not. It’s basic common sense and professionalism. I wish I could give no stars.

The common rooms and toilets were generally clean, there were no bedbugs, and breakfast was okay. But the Russian management is still rude. The guy doesn’t seem to care about you unless you’re a girl or Russian. He also has some issue giving receipts, which reminded me of another establishment in NYC with mob connections. I wouldn’t stay here long. Bring your own lock and you can use the lockers for free. Bring body wash and toiletries too. I was running late and didn’t have time to ask for them.

Good afternoon. I booked a bed at your Hostel for the 31st, but couldn’t stay because I’d accidentally reserved a place in a women’s room. You charged me anyway and didn’t refund the payment. I demand that you return it immediately.

One of the best hostels I’ve stayed in. They really should have more toilets and bathrooms, though.
