Be careful. I was robbed last night, and later found out the person who took my things is currently in this shelter. I can't share more because of privacy concerns, but we know they're there. It's now a homeless shelter, and there are safety concerns that come with that. I'm not saying all homeless people are bad or looking for trouble, but that's the situation. The neighborhood may get messy, so watch out.

The owners are so kind, and staying here is thrilling if you're into the haunted side of it. It may not suit someone who's easily scared, but I loved being so close to all those rock and roll legends. The most famous people in rock and roll didn't just stay here for a night, they lived here, and that history makes this place the best in Hollywood. Stay here if you want to experience Hollywood in a historic monument.

A quiet street just off Hollywood Blvd, with a little pool, green courtyard, and outdoor cafe. The rooms had a cozy boutique feel. Breakfast was simple but hit the spot, with bagels, fruit, and yogurt. Some theaters are within walking distance.

I saw this hotel in a documentary and got curious about its history, so I started looking into a possible stay. Usually snarky replies from an owner put me off, but this one was so perfect that now I'm definitely booking. It makes me sad that it doesn't seem to be a place for aspiring actors waiting for their big break. I loved the vibe in the documentary, and you can still feel the history when you visit.

A nice change of pace. The rooms are huge, and there's a pool, though we couldn't swim in it. Free laundry is great, and they provide three meals a day. It made me feel like I was on melrose.place without the college crowd, like growing up a bit, then slipping back from your old life after something traumatic.
