I booked months ahead because of a nearby festival, but when I arrived I was really disappointed. I should have looked more carefully at the photos. The man at the front desk just asked for my ID, handed over a room, and pointed me toward it. It was in a dim alley at the back of the hotel and looked like a storage closet. I felt very unsafe, especially since I’d be coming back late at night. I asked if they could give me something closer to the front. They did, but that room reeked of cigarettes. I thought about asking again, but the employee seemed so frustrated about changing my room that I instead asked whether they could cancel it. A woman at the desk printed a paper with the details and told me to contact Expedia for a refund. I ended up booking a place an hour away near Anaheim because I couldn’t find anything local at a good price. I really hope Expedia refunds me. Please don’t book here, even if you’re desperate. I wonder who rates this place above one star. It seemed like people were living here, or booking by the hour for you know what.

I feel unsafe here. Someone kicked in my door, and a tiny piece of wood is all that’s holding it together. Everything is grimy and dirty. That may be typical of motels in the area, but I still wouldn’t recommend this place. I feel bad because the owners are nice, but the property needs work and at least better housekeeping. The stains on everything were unreal.

I wouldn’t recommend staying here. The room smelled strongly of cigarette smoke, and it hadn’t been cleaned properly. The pillows were dirty, and the sheets were stained and looked like they hadn’t been changed. There wasn’t any hand soap or shampoo, just one bar of soap. Very disappointing.

I’ve stayed here several times lately and, for a motel, I actually prefer it to most of the others. I gave it three stars because the price has been good whenever I booked through a third party. Still, I’d never pay the full rate here. In my opinion, motels like these are generally subpar, so I’d only come back for another really good deal.
