Hyland Motel Van Nuys

My first stay at the Hyland Inn was January 18th, 2024. It was quiet, the grounds were well maintained, and the neighborhood felt safe and easy for walking my dog. He was very welcome there. Customer service was excellent, check-in went smoothly, and I didn’t have any issues or need to ask for anything. Thanks, John, for a great stay and for offering a hotel for people on a budget. Keep up the good work! PS: To everyone commenting on the manager at the front desk’s race, nationality, or religion, maybe use a name. A racial description isn’t a proper way to describe someone, since you can’t know where they’re really from unless you ask. Thank you, Adria.

They do well-being checks here, which is great for a community lodging experience. The staff are very attentive.

We traveled with four children, and the staff accommodated our needs and didn’t charge us extra. We felt welcome. Customer service was great, and check-in was easy. The team was professional and attentive, provided extra towels and personal hygiene items, and cleaned our rooms even on the days we’d asked them not to. I recommend this hotel!

I’ve stayed here plenty of times, and it’s honestly one of the best motels I’ve been to, better than others in the area. The rooms and bathrooms are very clean, and John and the staff are great. John makes check-in easy and checks that you’re doing okay during your stay. It’s hard to find a place where you’re greeted so kindly. He always welcomes you with a smile and makes you comfortable. I absolutely recommend staying here.
