Solo Motel - Broadway

I’d come back. The place seems family-run, and everyone was really kind. While my room was being cleaned, one of the guys let me cool off in the room next door. I also liked the color-changing dial by the bed. HBO and the other channels meant I finally got to watch Superman (2025).

The room was nicely decorated and worked well for a night. We came for an event at BMO Stadium, which is an easy walk away, and check-in was quick with helpful staff. I lost my key, but they let me back into my room without making a fuss. Just remember the deposit has to be cash.

I booked Solo Motel Broadway for one night while traveling for my little cousin’s funeral, and the treatment at the desk made an already hard trip worse. The woman at reception threatened to kick out anyone who wasn’t listed on the booking, so I felt threatened instead of welcomed. They wanted a $50 cash-only deposit and said it used to be $100. A man yelled when I asked for a receipt, then told me no hotel would ever give me one. I stayed calm and wasn’t rude, despite what I was going through. The staff’s heavy Indian accents also made communication difficult, and it felt like employees were watching my every move. I’d booked because reviews called the place clean, but the walls were dirty and the window looked out onto a dirty backyard. I learned the hard way how much customer service matters. I’m never coming back. Book at your own risk, and spare me the fake professional business reply.

The rooms look modern, smell good, and were very clean. But I paid $140 for one night, plus a $50 cash deposit I never got back. The owner assigns parking and gets angry, yelling if you don’t follow what he says. I checked in at 11 for a last-minute stay, left, then came back at 5 with a friend. The owner started banging on the door and yelling for me to open it and kick my friend out. I was confused and scared. This is a motel that rents rooms by the hour for adults, so if you’re an adult planning to have fun and bring a guest, this might not be the place. The owner needs to stop ordering people around and pounding on doors like that.
