My partner and I booked three nights in August but left after just one because the place was so dirty that we both had allergic reactions. We arrived in the dark and were kept waiting outside for an hour while the host said the keys were in a lockbox. They turned out to be inside the property. The cleaning hadn’t been done before we got there, and I’ve never seen a place this filthy before guests arrived. It was unacceptable, shameful, and unprofessional. They’re refusing to refund us, so it feels like they took our money. We’re disputing it with Booking.com.

The apartment was filthy, with cat hair all over it, and we had allergies. The Korean Town neighborhood was dirty too. We waited an hour outside on arrival because of an issue with the key box, only to find that the keys were inside the apartment. The place hadn’t been cleaned before we arrived. We stayed just one of the three nights, and they still won’t refund me. Avoid!!

The microwave and coffee pot were useful, but this was the worst accommodation. I couldn’t check in for hours because the host never sent the address, room number, or password, and I couldn’t reach him by phone. After checking out, I tried to book another night and check in, but again he didn’t answer. The bed felt like it might break, with the middle of the mattress sagging and creaking whenever I moved. The sofa bed had hair and crumbs on it, and the extra blanket smelled like sweat, as if it hadn’t been washed. The room code stayed the same between guests: room 311 used code 6628. The host found something I’d lost, but threw it away without contacting me.
