Carlyle Inn

The room at The Carlyle Inn was clean and well cared for, and the king bed was comfortable. Even on a busy street, it stayed quiet. The covered parking was adequate. My only issue was that the room's internet didn't work at all. We had to go to the lobby to get a solid wifi signal and use our devices there.

During the four days I stayed while recovering from major surgery, my room was never cleaned. Management said they were understaffed when I raised it, but that doesn't excuse skipping a basic service guests pay for. They charge an “urban fee” that supposedly includes housekeeping, Wi-Fi, and other amenities, yet those services weren't delivered. The hotel also offers complimentary alcohol, without comparable benefits for guests who don't drink, while cleanliness and guest care seemed to be neglected. The room was basic and inexpensive, and didn't justify the extra fees, though the room itself wasn't my main complaint. Staff and management were rude and dismissive, with little concern for guest satisfaction. Every guest deserves respect and the services promised, whether the property is a Motel 6 or a Ritz-Carlton. This hotel failed on both counts. I left frustrated and disgusted, and won't stay here again. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone expecting professionalism, cleanliness, or decent customer service.

My bed and shower were perfect, though the hot water ran out once, which was odd. The room was clean but not spotless: someone had left a cleaning rag behind, there was strange splatter residue on the bathroom walls, the iron leaked, and the AC only came on after I reset it a few times. There was no microwave, which was inconvenient. Parking on site was affordable and convenient, but very tight to navigate. Jessica, the manager, was a pleasure to talk with. They gave me reusable discount coupons for nearby cafes, which were great, and drink tickets for the lobby happy hour. The building shows its age in places and could use some TLC, but I had a very good experience and liked the location. I'd definitely come back.

We celebrated my sister's 80th birthday at the Carlyle Inn from 12-5 to 12-6/2025, and it was a memorable time for our family. Manager Jessica was attentive and gave us tremendous support. The staff helped with every part of the party, from setup to making sure our guests were looked after, and the service was immediate. Family members commented on the clean, quaint rooms, friendly staff, convenient location, and intimate setting. We had a fabulous experience.
