Value Inn

I've stayed at more than 500 hotels and never had one keep my deposit before. This place did, over a small amount of makeup on the pillowcase my wife used and a hole in the sheets that was already there when I checked in. They blamed me for the hole, even though I don't smoke, which was BS. I told them the makeup washes out because I've dealt with the same thing at home for over 10 years and it comes out in the washing machine every time. These cheapskates will find any excuse to take your money. I wouldn't recommend staying here. Find somewhere better for your trip. They lost my business for good over this ridiculous deposit issue. No wonder the place is a ghost town and nobody wants to stay here.

The rooms are always clean and come with fresh towels, and the family who owns the place are so friendly. They’ve been able to accommodate me at any hour, morning, day, or night. Parking isn't great, though it could be worse.

I was tired and grumpy after driving from Arizona to Oregon, but the attendant treated me with courtesy and respect. He pointed out where to park, brought me extra pillows when I asked, and helped me get my luggage inside. The room was much bigger than I expected, with a table and two chairs, dressers, bedside tables, a large wall-mounted TV, a good-sized closet, and bathroom. I caught up on sports, put perishables in the fridge, warmed a cookie in the microwave, and used the coffee maker in the morning. The shower worked well, and I slept great. The freeway nearby didn't bother me, and made the Value Inn easy to find and get back to the highway. It was easy to reach from the freeway, with two restaurants nearby for dinner and breakfast. I'm picky, but these economical, efficient accommodations made me feel pampered. I stayed here March 17th and will try to come back.

The one nice thing is having restaurants and stores nearby, and the owner is cool. But this is a motel in the ghetto, not the luxurious hotel suggested by the misleading Google picture. The beds are rock hard, and it seems like they won't spend a little extra on blankets. You get one flat pillow, so don't expect much sleep if you have somewhere to go the next day. The showers are confusing, the place smells weird, and honestly, I think the floors are cleaner than the beds. Wouldn't recommend it.
