W Los Angeles - West Beverly Hills

The room's shower is a real problem for me. It has a regular head and a wand, but switching back from the wand means turning all the water off and on again. Adjusting the temperature was basically impossible, even by hotel standards. A hotel needs to get the shower right for me, so I'll look elsewhere next time I'm in LA. The location was pleasant and quiet, and the staff were among the friendliest, most professional, and courteous I've met. The restaurant and pool were nice too, though I didn't see the gym. I'd consider staying at W again after checking out other hotels nearby.

The staff were friendly and attentive, and the hotel is close to the college and Beverly Hills. Coffee in the lobby is free, and they'll bring a coffee maker to your room if you ask. The cleaning crew were thorough, mopping the bathroom every day. It never felt too crowded, so I didn't have to wait for anything.

My wife Kristy and I have stayed in several rooms and suites here during visits to West Beverly Hills, after many nights at top-notch hotels around the world. We've never found anything lacking at the W. What keeps us coming back is the staff, from valet and housekeeping to reception and management. Somehow the hotel has brought together people who take real pride in hospitality. They're kind, helpful, and knowledgeable, and it feels sincere rather than scripted. They've made every visit enjoyable and memorable, and we're already looking forward to the next one.

We got a room upgrade and the service was good overall. Breakfast tasted great, and the elite credit helped cover the cost, which was nice since breakfast isn't included here as it is at some other Marriott properties. The problem was our crib. We'd arrived late and had requested it and confirmed several times, but when we got in around 11 pm, staff couldn't find one to bring up until the next day.
