Days Inn by Wyndham Lenoir City

Booking.com failed to put my reservation confirmation in the system. Raquel, the woman at the desk, tried hard to help by calling Booking.com, but couldn't get an answer and ended up talking to AI. She spent 1.5 hours on it. In the end I had to pay again as a walk-in, but she was so nice and got us a room. I had a surgery patient with me who needed to rest. The hotel was clean and the clerk was exceptional. I've lost faith in Booking.com's pathetic customer service. Thanks for the clean room.

We booked a room for a last-minute fishing weekend and chose this place because of the location. The quoted rate was higher than what Google advertised, and it took a manager to bring it down a little. We probably should have left when they argued about the price, but the group wanted to stay. The room was clean, but smelled of cigarettes despite being told it was non-smoking. The bathroom doorknob and shelf were broken, and there was only enough toilet paper for one wipe. We were really just there to sleep, so it wasn't a huge complaint, but I probably won't return. I'd rather find a room somewhere else.

Lenoir was clean and comfortable, and cost under $100. It's right off the highway, though there was a small leak in the bathroom. Breakfast was just juice, a granola bar, and instant coffee, so we skipped it. I'm comparing it with the Days Inn in Queensbury, New York, which was horrible: filthy floors, a toilet that clogged twice, and a homeless person in the lobby. Breakfast there was a crust of bread for toast and nothing else, with no coffee. Awful. Spend the money on Holiday Inn Express or Hampton.

The online photos don't show what the place really looks like. My room was filthy and smelled so bad I had to buy disinfectant to help with the odor. The bathroom vent was packed with junk. Please don't stay here.
