Econo Lodge Lenoir City - Knoxville Area

For $89 a night, I got what I expected: a clean, basic room. It wasn't pretty or fancy, but the mattress protectors were on the beds, and the staff were friendly and helpful. It's right off I75 and close to pretty much everything. If all you need is a safe, quiet, clean place on a budget, this works. We got in, crashed, and were out going nonstop, so I didn't take photos.

I stay in all kinds of places, from two-star motels to five-star hotels, and this EconoLodge was a really pleasant surprise. The high ratings made me suspicious at first, like a motel might have sock puppets boosting them, but that faded at midnight check-in when the staff were friendly and prompt. Once we saw the room, the doubt was gone. It was a little dated, as expected, but clean-smelling because it was clean, and the mattress, bedding, and pillows were all good. We used it as our halfway stop both going to and returning from our destination, and got the same friendly experience with a different staff member on the way back. We didn't eat breakfast or try the coffee, since we had other plans. If I had to guess, the biscuits and gravy would be what you'd expect from a Southern motel breakfast. It's a fantastic, budget-friendly motel.

I was glad the EconoLodge allowed pets, since traveling with them can be hard. Rajesh greeted me with a smile and was friendly and helpful. He said to call the front desk if I needed anything. The room was clean except for old cereal tucked by a nightstand leg, which housekeeping probably missed. The beds were comfortable, which helped a lot because I was emotionally drained from my trip. The hotel is right by the exit, so getting to it was easy.

For an economy hotel, we were pleased with the price, cleanliness, and amenities. The wait-staff were very friendly and knew the area well when we checked in. The continental breakfast was great too.
