Loyalty Inn

It’s not close to anything, and it’s no W in Montreal or Montreal Sheraton, my favorite hotel. Still, it was clean and the service was impeccable. I enjoyed my stay. Nothing for IG photos, but a solid place.

I can put up with old carpet and dated furniture, and I knew from the Google listing that this wasn’t a nice hotel. What I can’t get past is paying $87, at least $20 too much in my opinion, to sleep with bed bugs. I didn’t spot them until morning. Had I seen them when we arrived, I’d have demanded a refund and slept in my vehicle. I’m just hoping none came home on me or my two young kids. Even sitting in my car outside with it running, I could smell cigarettes coming through the vents. 🤢 I imagine junkies are what keep this place going. If you need somewhere in Louisa, you’re better off parking at a church and sleeping in your car. 🤬

The room was filthy, the smell was awful, and the heat barely worked. I was afraid to lie down in the bed. They charged me $89 to sit there until morning in my coat and boots. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

It’s the only motel in Louisa, so I feel for anyone who has to stay here. I came back after nine years thinking they might have repaired or remodeled it, and took a chance on a room. Nope, it was worse than before. The whole place is old, smelly, dirty, and outdated, not just my room. The musty odor was so bad I ended up with a pounding headache. I suspect it may be full of mold, too. I can’t believe a place like this was still renting rooms in 2022. It feels like a serious health hazard and ought to be condemned.
