For a one-night stop while passing through, the room was good enough. It was clean, though it had a strange smell, and the bed was comfortable enough. I found the inside-out fitted sheet suspicious, like it might just have been turned over from the last guest. The desk wobbled so badly it almost collapsed under my car keys and couldn’t be used. The bathtub and shower were very worn, with a warped, uneven bottom that could be hazardous for anyone unsteady on their feet. The location wasn’t great either, behind a gas station and near train tracks.

For $70, I think people complain too much. It’s not a Hyatt, and it beats paying Airbnb’s excessive cleaning fees. From outside it looks really ugly, like an old motel, but they’ve redone the rooms and lobby. The room was clean, had everything I needed, and plenty of outlets. Inside it looks like a small Holiday Inn. It’s near the airport and freeway, so you hear planes and trucks, and the surrounding area kind of sucks.

The TV only showed static, the room reeked of smoke, and the air conditioner was so noisy I went out to buy earplugs. After walking around barefoot for ten minutes, the bottoms of my feet were black. I called twice to ask for another room, but was told none were available, even though I saw three empty rooms nearby. This was a terrible stay and absolutely not worth the money.

We were passing through and booked ahead, but our family of four never felt safe here. The building is run down, and the attempts to update the rooms haven’t improved how the place feels. The front desk woman was rude and abrupt. There’s only an exterior bathroom door, which made it hard for one person to use it while the others got ready. We should have stayed somewhere else, and I wouldn’t return even for free.
