Embassy Suites Louisville Downtown

The lobby was clean, the staff were easy to work with, and breakfast was good. But our room wasn't very clean when we arrived. The hotel was full all week, and we never got room service during the stay. I had to ask for towels to be delivered after we noticed the daily service hadn't come.

Ahmaree made us feel welcome and reassured when we checked in. Our spacious, well-appointed room felt grand and cozy, and the shower was magnificent, with plenty of room for two. Kim was lovely in the cocktail lounge. Though she was packing up to leave when we arrived, she stopped to make me a lemon drop martini, which is my new favorite, and graciously made drinks for the people behind us too. The breakfast buffet had all the fresh items I could have wanted. Adidya greeted me warmly, and Lamont made a delicious omelet just the way I asked. When the front desk agent had stepped out for a break at 6:30 a.m. as we were checking out, Bagdad did everything he could to help us on our way. It was a fabulous experience, and we'll absolutely stay here again when we get the chance.

My oldest son and his family stayed here when they came to town for Christmas. I didn't stay overnight myself, but I visited for a few hours. Their room was a decent size, and guests could get free drinks with a special ticket as well as a complimentary breakfast that was more than continental. The hotel is beautiful, especially the lobby and its waterfall, which I filmed and will post with my review. I gave the location three stars only because it's downtown Louisville. Still, it's on 4th Street Live, in an area that's more watched and patrolled, so it's not so bad. It deserves the very good rating I gave it.

Our room was enormous, bigger than some apartments I've seen. Breakfast, happy hour, and the shuttle were all complimentary. Amish was a great shuttle driver, and we trusted him with our lives. I'd definitely recommend this hotel for a downtown stay.
