Holiday Inn Express & Suites Louisville East

Miss Sue at the front desk made our stay at Holiday Inn Express & Suites Louisville East feel special. She welcomed us whenever we came “home,” suggested great places for dinner, and sent us off each day with kind words and good wishes. From check-in to check-out, she made us feel genuinely welcome, and you can tell she takes pride in her work and cares about guests. The hotel was clean and comfortable, and breakfast was hot and well stocked every morning. We had a wonderful stay and will absolutely come back for our next forms weekend, especially because of the warmth and personal attention Sue gave us.

A convenient, clean, comfortable place for a getaway. The pool is nice for a swim, and there’s a hot tub to soak in. Breakfast has several choices, including vegetarian food, and there’s a small shop for snacks and drinks.

The coffee machine makes great coffee, which was a bright spot. The rest felt pretty unwelcoming. We were there with a wedding group, renting more than 10 rooms for three nights on a quiet weekend. With around 20 of us in a lobby that could fit about 40, the bride started handing out cake slices while we were about to sit and look at photos. The front desk attendant said we couldn't have a party. When we asked what made it a party, she said, “The cake.” Not cool.

The staff made a big difference for my family. The front desk team were friendly and helpful, and the woman working nights let me borrow two chairs on both evenings so we could have Thanksgiving dinner with family in our room. I wish I remembered her name, because she deserves a huge raise. They also helped with little things like extra tissues and toilet paper, and it meant a lot. The hotel was spotless inside and out, and our huge room had plenty of space. The shower was so good I stayed in for half an hour instead of my usual ten minutes. Breakfast was hot and fresh on both days, and the woman preparing and serving it was quick and friendly. This is the best and cleanest Holiday Inn Express I've stayed at. They really do things right here.
